Attachment C of that submittal included a revised Figure 3.0. That map had an incorrect total of 8.82 acres in the Mitigation section of the legend as described below in the 8/6/19 email. The Legend Mitigation section has been updated in the attached Figure 3.0 and correctly states - Wetlands (payment to the DMS) 10.07 ac. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need anything else. I certainly need to do that myself in preparation for the meeting. If you could send me an updated figure as it stands now that would be helpful. The key is to show the mitigation requirement per the USACE. Mitigation plans change all the time so we can adjust it at a later date if the easement negotiations are successful. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Sue, Good morning, I am going through Canoe Club information in anticipation of public hearing and preparing response to comments. Please let me know if you need anything from us in preparation. We had discussion last January 2019 about needing to provide additional mitigation for the "1998 to present wetlands" and proposed adding 1:1 mitigation for these areas and this was submitted as plan to the Corps. The Corps agreed to this mitigation ratio for the additional 1.25 acres. However, it doesn't appear that we updated our Figure 3 for the Mitigation Wetlands (Payment to DMS). Figure 3.0 (revised 7/10.2019) currently states Wetlands (Payment to DMS) 8.82 acres. This total only accounts for the 5.88 acres at a 1.5:1 ratio. With the additional required mitigation at a 1:1 ratio, the wetlands impact "1998 to present" adds an additional 1.25 acres of required mitigation. As a result, the Mitigation line in Figure 3 should read Wetlands (Payment to DMS) 10.07 acres. The Canoe Club is in negotiations with the Highlands -Cashiers Land Trust about holding a conservation easement and preserving the remaining 5.18 acres of wetlands on-site. If they agree to take the easement or preservation is done through Restrictive covenants, then payment to DMS would be close to 9 acres. As the preservation component is still being worked out, should we send you an updated Figure 3.0 with the DMS payment of 10.07 acres?
