The laboratory result was previously mailed to you. Please note that two water samples were collected during the site visit. Raw groundwater was collected at the wellhead and a treated water sample was collected at the wellhouse treatment spigot. The GWE corresponds to the raw untreated groundwater. The GWE does n t evaluate the treated water sample collected from the well. Please contact me at (919) 791-4242 if you have any questions or have not received a copy of the analytical results regarding this test. The untreated groundwater sample was analyzed for various parameters and the analytes of interest are summarized as follows: Parameter Laboratory Result Groundwater Quality Standard Chromium (hexavalent) 2.2 1tg/L 10 µg/L Chloride 8.0 m L 250 m Sulfate 21 m L 250 m L Total Dissolved Solids 159 m L 500 m L Barium Ba 27 L 700 L Calcium (Ca) 14 L Not Established Copper Cu) 0.012 m L I m L Potassium (K) 1.2 m L Not Established Magnesium (M) 4.5 m L Not Established Sodium (Na) 15 m L Not Established Strontium (Sr) 120 L Not Established µg/L = micrograms per liter, or parts per billion; mg/L = milligrams per liter, or parts per million For this sample, there were no exceedances of the established 15A NCAC 02L .0202 Groundwater Quality Standards. Based on this sample, this well is a suitable source of drinking water and should not create a threat to human health. Note: Several results from the sample were not quantifiable. This does not indicate that the sample is analyte free, but that the analyte was not detected at or above the reliable quantifiable limit, or the practical quantitation limit. These results are unable to be evaluated in terms of exceedance5 of the established 15A NCAC 02L .0202 Groundwater Quality Standards. Analytes of interest that were not quantifiable are shown below: Parameter Laboratory Result Groundwater Quality Standard Antimony (Sb) Not Quantifiable 1 L Beryllium (Be) Not Quantifiable 4 L Cobalt Co) Not Quantifiable 1 L Thallium (Tl) Not Quantifiable 0.2 L Vanadium (V) Not Quantifiable 0.3 µg/L Additional Information: North Carolina Groundwater Standards: https:/Ideq.nc.gov/aboutldivisions!water- resources/planning/classification-standards.'groundwater-standards DWR Draft
