We had provided both freshwater and saltwater benchmarks to Bethany when she encountered this issue because the parameter she was looking at had extremely limited data for saltwater species and the freshwater benchmark was based off of a larger data set and would have been protective of saltwater species as well based on the calculated values. I'm not sure which one she ended up using in her permit. However, in your case we have relatively strong data for metals in both freshwater and saltwater. I recommend using the following saltwater benchmarks: 2 Iron: 4.5 mg/L (limited data) Chromium: 1 mg/L Xylene: 3.7 mg/L Zinc: 95 ug/L Aluminum: No saltwater data is available for aluminum Lead: 220 ug/L From looking at your benchmark document, it looks like oil and grease, COD, TSS and N and P wouldn't need to be modified for saltwater. We wouldn't have any additional numeric benchmarks available for any of these parameters besides what you already are using. I hope this helps. Feel free to let me know if you need anything further or have any questions.
