In Section 3.3.2 of the SWPPP, on page 3-15, the following is stated:
o "Pollution prevention team members will conduct monthly visual inspections for evidence of, or
potential for, pollutants entering the site's drainage systems.... All stormwater inspections will
include:
■ Potential spill areas;
■ Existing spills and leaks;
■ Potential new stormwater pollution contact areas;

■ Inspections of outdoor containers, tanks, and drums for signs of deterioration;
■ Inspection of existing BMPs;
■ Recommendation of new BMPs;
■ Identification of sediment and erosion problem areas;
■ Housekeeping practices;
■ Emergency containment and cleanup equipment;
■ Visual monitoring for color, foam, outfall staining, visible sheens and dry weather flow from
stormwater discharge points; and
■ A summary and narrative description of findings."
I am requesting the summary and narrative descriptions of the findings of the inspections so that we can better
understand the work the facility has done to address the site and stormwater basin conditions that are causing the
benchmark exceedances. I will be looking out for these after Friday.

Can you clarify what summaries/narrative descriptions you are requesting? Due to the fact there was no representative
storm event during May, no samples were taken. I am out of the office until Friday, at that point I will start gathering the
information you need.

Yvonne,
In Section 3.3.1 and Section 3.3.2 of the SWPPP, I see some great language regarding stormwater
pollution prevention.
Considering the site conditions we observed, I would appreciate seeing copies of the
summaries/narrative descriptions of finding of all of the stormwater inspections from this permit term
think these would help us greatly understand how the facility has handled trying to manage the free
product that is getting into the stormwater basins.

We have been operating under the SWPPP for as long as we have had the permit. The recent revision
was to include the recent change in plant management.

The inspection today went smoothly. We greatly appreciate Jeff and Frank for taking the

When we were doing the records review, we were unable to find some required
