• GKN Driveline is a division of GKN. GKN is a supplier to automotive, off -highway and aerospace
manufacturers. The company provides technology -based, highly engineered products to
manufacturers of light vehicles, agricultural and construction equipment and aircraft and aero
engines.
• GKN Driveline supplies constant -velocity, jointed sideshafts and torque management devices.
• GKN files are missing. DEQ only has access to an incomplete application and a few DMR's from
2015 and 2016. — Will ask to see permit during inspection.
Monitoring Information:
• There are 3 outfalls at the site.
• Chris Blaine, EHS Specialist, responded by email on April 30, 2019 that he would provide
monitoring info shortly. No monitoring data or response has been received as on June 6, 2019.
Surface Water Information:
• Stormwater discharges to Little Buffalo Creek, a class C stream in the Cape Fear River Basin.
• Little Buffalo Creek is considered an impaired waters, experiencing problems with benthos.
Discussions with the Facility:
• Contact was made with the facility over phone and email on 4/15/2019. The facility responded
on April 30, 2019. No response or monitoring data has been received as of June 6, 2019.
