The approval date and permit number on the NOI form should have been the same as the letter that was uploaded with
the form. As Alaina said, that approval information is what we need, which was granted on 5/10 (not 4/2, which was
entered on the attached NOI) and contained in the letter. It seems the local government was able to provide that.
The submittal from yesterday does not have the correct information from this letter that was uploaded along with it (see
below). I know you all don't want to go through this again, but the approval date and E&SC Project number needs to be
entered accurately so that it is reflected in the data we send to EPA and on the COC, and that info was contained in the
letter.
Do you want to try another submittal while I keep this in the queue? I think it can be done very quickly and
resubmitted, and we can move it through as soon as possible this morning. I will watch for the submittal and assign it
to myself. If this is not satisfactory, you'll need to speak with my Supervisor Annette Lucas instead. She is away from
the office to give a presentation but could be available later today if necessary.

If the permit number isn't issued until after plan approval, what do we fill in for that space on the form? In the case of
this Wake Forest project, I didn't receive the letter of approval with the permit number until several weeks after
the plans were approved.

Morning, Peter.

You are correct in that many municipalities are requiring proof of NCGO1 coverage prior to issuing the permit, and that's
fine because you don't need the permit to get coverage; you just need an approved E&SC plan. Securing the NCGO1
COC prior to receiving final permits eliminates liability for you and the municipality.
All we need is the information off of the Letter of Approval from Wake Forest —that's what shows us that you have an
acceptable E&SC plan.

What I've noticed is that municipalities are asking for NCG01 coverage during plan review rather than after the erosion
control permits are approved. That's the reason why the SP-18-12 number (Town of Wake Forest number) was placed in
the E&SC Plan/Project ID space in the form. It's a learning curve since with this new requirement. I'm just going to let
municipalities know that I won't apply for coverage until the erosion control permits are issued. This should solve the
issue. Thanks!

I am looking at the documentation, and the E&SC number and approval date do not match the letter from the Town of
Wake Forest. Wake Forest's letter is dated 5/10 and lists this as Permit number 2018-0001767, but the project number
entered was SP-18-12, with an approval date of 4/2. Is there a reason for this discrepancy?
Jeff, I'm working remotely later than usual because I was out of the office with a sick child today, but I will be back in the
office first thing tomorrow morning. The E&SC Project ID will be listed on the Certificate of Coverage, so it must be
accurate. Is there a reason this letter is dated over a month after the approval date entered? I will hold this one in the
queue until you get back to me.

I apologize it's taken me a few days to respond, but I have some answers for you.
I spoke with Scott Miles, Town of Wake Forest, and he said there is an approval letter that has all the information you'll
need for the e-NOI. Please contact him to obtain the letter.
You will need to submit a new e-NOI because we have no way of making changes to the application once it has been
submitted. I attached a copy of the previous submission, so you can copy over what was correct and hopefully save a bit
of time.
Please let me know if you run into trouble when filling out the e-NOI.
