* This is the last manhole in our stormwater piping system and is located just prior to the system
exiting the Wellman, Inc. property.
Several years ago, the adjacent DuPont facility built a proprietary manufacturing
facility. The stormwater pipeline to the monitoring outfall extends across the
property on which this new facility is located. Because of the secrecy
surrounding the new process, access to the property and, therefore, to the outfall
is very restrictive. As a result, we are requesting that our monitoring point be
moved to the last manhole in our stormwater pipeline. The location of the
manhole is identified on the enclosed drawing.
