This letter is to notify you that the Division of Water Resources has determined that your
NPDES Permit for the Marshall Steam Station NC0004987 must be reopened. The Division
is hereby giving Duke Energy Carolinas 60 days notice as required by North Carolina
Administrative Code (NCAC) 15A 2H.0112 (b) (3) that the Division will reopen the existing
permit for the above referenced facility. The Division intends to remove the effluent
channel designations from A.(30) and modify Attachment 1 to include a compliance
boundary map.
