Report submittal in accordance with Permit Condition Part I, A.(30) Marshall Steam Station - "DES Permit NC0004987 - Catawba County Dear Mr. Poupart: Pursuant to Part 1, Condition A.(30) of the above -referenced permit, Duke Energy is required to demonstrate that the water quality standards for constituents listed in permit condition A.(29) are not contravened in the receiving stream. This demonstration is required to be completed within 180 days of the effective date of the subject permit using in -stream sampling results at stations established through the BIP monitoring program. This submittal fulfills the requirement found in that permit condition. Two seeps at Marshall Steam Station are permitted as Outfall 101 & Outfall 102. Both of these outfalls are permitted as effluent channels to Lake Norman. A summary of sampling results within the receiving water body (Lake Norman) obtained from established BIP monitoring stations in February 2016, August 2016 and February 2017, is provided as an attachment to this submittal. These results confirm that Outfall 101 and Outfall 102 do not cause any contravention of water quality standards for constituents listed in condition A.(29).
