Subject: NPDES Industrial Stormwater Permit

COC No. NCG081062
General Permit Renewal Notification
Guilford County
NC DEMLR Stormwater Program renewed the General Permit this facility is covered under. The
Stormwater Program posted the draft General Permit for public comment on April 151h and it ran
through May 15th. The new General Permit became effective on July 1, 2026. Please read the
important information below about what to do:
1. Fees Owed: If your COC had outstanding fees, then your COC has not been renewed and
is expired. It is crucial that you visit the Stormwater ePayment website (deg.nc.gov/SW-
ePayments) and pay your permit fees as soon as possible so the Stormwater Program
can renew your Certificate of Coverage (COC), and you can avoid enforcement actions.
2. Review and Update Contact Information: Please review the permit contact information
in our database. You can link to a Stormwater Permit Contact Summary Report under
the "How to Update Permit Data" section of this website: deg.nc.gov/SW-industrial
3. New General Permit: Familiarize yourself with the new permit by entering
https://www.deg.nc.gov/about/divisions/energy-mineral-and-land-
resources/stormwater/stormwater-program/npdes-industrial-program/general-
industrial-permits into your web browser and selecting "NPDES Industrial Program" and
then "General Permits" on the lower right side of the screen. The renewed General
Permit went into effect on July 1, 2026, and you are responsible for complying with any
new permit requirements on that date.
