Inspection Summary:
At the time of inspection, this quarry was no longer in operation, and based on available paperwork, has not been operational
for over 10 years. Prior to the inspection, we could not get in touch with anyone from Jacob's Creek Stone, and we also
were not able to contact anyone on the site or access any paperwork beyond what is in our records.
On site, the quarry had previously impacted about 5 acres of land. At the time of inspection, the quarry has been mostly
transformed into forestland,with young pines being the dominant cover in former areas of excavation. It is unclear how much
of this transformation is a result of reclamation activity or natural forest succession. However, there were some minor
stockpiles of material, trash, an old building, and an old dozer that remained on the site. These materials should removed
prior to the recission of the permit.
