Good afternoon,
Yesterday, on 4/7, Mike Smith and I conducted an inspection for the above referenced Notice of Intent.
We found 2 additional outfalls that were not listed on the application and a possible 5' outfall,
depending on construction. Details below:
- A 3rd outfall was noted to be discharging from a second retention pond at the back of the property.
Coordinates for the outfall are 35.88090, -81.56128. No vehicle maintenance in this area.
- A 4' outfall was noted in the back of the property where Miller Creek flows inside the bounds of the
property. The coordinates for that outfall are 35.88225, -81.56291. No vehicle maintenance in this
area.
- At the time of inspection, there was a temporary sediment basin located on the Northwest end of the
property. This basin discharges a 511 outfall. Tyler Watson with JIBS, who joined us for our inspection,
said he did not know if it would be converted to a permanent retention pond or if it will be filled. I told
him that it would count as a 5' outfall if it is converted to permanent, and we suggested that they try
to fill in the pond to reduce the number of outfalls, if they can. The coordinates for this outfall are
35.88274, -81.56627
