HomeMy WebLinkAboutNCG020853_Renewal Notification Letter_20250519 May 19, 2025 Twiford IV LLC Attn: David Cross, Manager 429 S Hughes Blvd Elizabeth Cty, NC 279094256 Subject: NPDES Industrial Stormwater Permit Rose Pit COC No. NCG020853 Upcoming General Permit Renewal Public Comment Notification Pasquotank County Dear NPDES Permittee: The NPDES Industrial Stormwater Program at NC DEQ is preparing for the renewal of the following General Permits: NCG020000: Active and Inactive Mining Sites NCG190000: Active and Inactive Marinas and Ship and Boat Building and Repairing Facilities The public comment period for these permit renewals runs from May 15th through June 16th. During that period, NC DEQ will accept comments on the Draft General Permits posted on our Stormwater Public Notice Webpage . We are targeting a July 1st, 2025, renewal date for the above-listed General Permits. Upon July 1st, all active Certificates of Coverage (COCs) of the above-listed General Permits will be automatically renewed provided they have no outstanding fees. Permittees of the above-listed General Permits should do the following to ensure a smooth renewal: 1. Certify all outstanding fees are paid. If there is still an outstanding balance on June 16, 2025 your COC may not be renewed. You can visit our Stormwater ePayments site to check on any outstanding fees. 2. Update permit/contact data. Run the Permit Summary Report by typing in your COC number. If any permit data (contact info, facility name, etc) needs updating, you can find the necessary forms on the NPDES Industrial Webpage under the “How to Update Permit Data” section. 3. Read through the draft General Permit and submit comments to NC DEQ Stormwater Program. Upon permit issuance, you should familiarize yourself with its contents. Please see below on some common FAQs: 1. Question: Where should I send my comments on the draft General Permits? a. Answer: Brittany Cook at Brittany.cook@deq.nc.gov 2. Do I need to submit a new application? a. No, facilities already covered under the correct permit need not re-apply. 3. My facility is closed/no longer need permit coverage. What do I do? a. Fill out and mail in a Rescission Request. 4. My NCG02 COC has ‘Dormant Status’, how do I maintain Dormant Status? a.
