Good afternoon Mr. Eplin,
I am writing to inform you that the Kelly Pipe facility, located in Pineville, NC and operating under General
Permit NCG030000
with a certificate of coverage NCG030727, has experienced a Tier 1 exceedance of zinc at outfall 004.
A sample collected on March 5, 2025, reported a zinc concentration of 0.129 mg/L, which exceeds the
benchmarkvalue of 0.126 mg/L.
The facility became aware of this exceedance on March 25, 2025, and is currently addressing the matter.
