Report suspicious emails with the Report Message button located on your Outlook menu bar on the Home tab. 1 Mr.Andrew Pitner: The Corning Optical Communications, LLC facility located at 1164 23rd St SE, Hickory, NC 28602 currently operates under General Permit No. NCG030000, as evidenced by Certificate of Coverage No. NCG030246. Outfall#3 has exceeded the benchmarkvalue for COD, such that the facility is subject to Tier Three requirements under Part E, Section E-7 of General Permit No. NCG030000.The sites most recent exceedance of COD results from the facility's Q1'25 stormwater sampling event resulted in a Chemical Oxygen Demand level of 130 mg/L. The stormwater sample was collected on 3/5/25, and we received the analysis from Statesville Analytical on 3/19/25. Please refer to the chart below for the previous COD exceedances.
