ISW Tier Notification
Dear Mr. Eplin,
As directed by Part D.,Section D-7 of Stormwater Permit NCS000571,a notification is required to the
Mooresville Regional Office of sample results over benchmark. Results over benchmark were received
on 3/19/2024 for a sampling event of stormwater outfall SW004 that occurred on 3/06/2024.

During the stormwater management inspection for SW004, it was noted that the drainage area contains
a switchyard with a galvanized tank and structural steel that could be contributing to the exceedances.
Zinc at SW004 is currently under a Tier Three status. Previous discussions had taken place to grant Tier
Relief on SW004, and we are hoping to be able to take the additional samples requested soon.
