Please correct the following:
• It is unclear what portions of the new septic tank system will be located above/below ground(for
example, plan sheet U1.3 shows the pump tank, air relief valve, and pressure manifold box as extending
above the ground surface). Please clarify which portions of the new system will extend above ground
(and contribute to the BUA of the site). This clarification may be made in the response to comments.
• Please provide a brief table/summary comparing the amount of BUA associated with the prior approved
sewer connection system vs. the new proposed septic system (i.e. demonstrating that there is no
increase in BUA associated with this change). This clarification may be made in the response to
comments.
• Please upload the electronic files associated with this latest submission to the following website:
https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/SW-Supplemental-Upload. Electronic files are required per Part B of the
Minor Modification Form.
The proposed septic system components will be located below ground with the exceptions
listed below. Associated built-upon area calculations are included.
Pre-treatment Pod: 121 SF
Septic tank, pump tank, recirculation tank access covers: 45 SF
Pressure manifolds: 36 SF
TOTAL: 202 SF
Previously proposed sewer system components and associated built upon area deducted
from total:
Lift station riser: 25 SF
Total Build-Upon Area per Modification: 188,800 SF
Built-Upon Area Percentage as Approved: 3%
Built-Upon Area Percentage as Modified: 188,800/6,473,100 = 3%
Please provide the following:
