SW TSS Abatement&Maintenance Quarterly Report(October-December 2023)
Dear Jerry,
As you may know,we have begun operating a new facility in Oakboro,NC.With the continual
increase of production in Oakboro,we have ceased all melt&casting operations at our
Charlotte facility. Therefore,filter insert changeouts were not necessary October-December
2023. Filters will continue to be checked and changed as necessary.
Due to ceased melt&casting operations,many of the BMPs are no longer applicable. Charlotte
Pipe will continue the following BMPs:
• Pump stormwater sumps from the charging area and scrap yard to WWTP for
treatment;and
• Inspect,maintain&replace drain/sock inserts,as needed, around the facility.
Please find attached the Filter Insert Maintenance Schedule for CY2023. An'©' represents a that
the filter insert was checked but not changed;yellow highlight indicates when it is scheduled to
be changed again. The most recent analytical results available is from sampling conducted in
December 2023 (July-December 2023). Follow-up sampling will be conducted during the
January-June 2023 timeframe.
