Johnson of Harnett County and State of North Corolina, of the second part; Witnosseth, That said parties of the first part in oonsideration of Ten Thousand and No/100 Dollars and other valuable considerations to them paid by Herbert L Johnson and wife, McClellan E Johnson, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold, and by those presents do prnnt, bargain, sell and convey to said Herbert L Johnson and wife, kcClellon E Johnson, their heirs and assigns, a cer- tain tract or parcel of land in Harnett County, State of North C'olina, and bounded as follows, viz: Lying and being it Grove Township, Harnett County, North Curoli•ia, BEGINNING at a corner in the mouth of the Persimmon Branch where it flows into Black River and runs S 6 deg 30 min W 33 chains to a corner; thence S 85 deg E 38.73 chains crossing Black River to an iron stake corner; thence S 6 deg 30 min W 27.80 chains crossing the present Coats-Benson Road to a stake corner; thence S 83 deg 30 min W 43.55 chains crossing Slack River to a stake on South edge of the present Coate-Benso, Road; thence N 3 deg E 22.57 chains to an iron stake in a stump; thence N 84 deg 30 min W 13.63 chains to an iron stake; thenoe N 11 dap 45 min W 50.05 chains to a a take and gum pointers in the Persimmon Branch on the North side of the present road lead- ing from Costs to the Bailey Cross Roads; thence down the channel of the said branch which courses are as follows: S 41 deg E 12. 54 chains. S 53ueg 2 4 chains; S 77 deg E 8 chains; N 77 deg E 3 chains; N 56 deg E 9 chains; N 67 deg E 5.10 chains to the mouth of the Persimmon Branch, the beginning point, and being the same land which is described and convoyed in a deed dated June 22, 1945, from R E Langdon and wife Mary Langdon, to Thomas D Stewart of record in Book 295, page 308, in office of Register of Deeds for Harnett County. According to H J Lambert's partial survey made August 15, 1947, from which the above description 4s made. 420.35 in Revenue. TO HAVE AND TO HOW the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privi- leges and appurtenances thereto belonging, to the said Herbert L Johnson, and wife, McClellon E Johnson, their heirs and assign to their only use and be.,00f forever. And the said Parties of the first print for themselves and their heirs and executors and administrators covenant with said Herbert L Johnson and wife McClellon E Johnson, their heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee and have right to convey in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all encum- brances, and that they do hereby forever warrant and will forever defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. In Testimony V.hreof, the said Lula B Stewart, Cecil A Fuquay, Exie S Smith, Mary S Langdon, R E Langdon, Mildred S Talton, and Leon Talton have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
