The Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources (DEMLR)reviewed and approved the Ashe County
water supply watershed protection ordinance(Chapter 155: Watershed Protection)and the water supply
watershed protection watershed boundaries received by our office on October 18, 2023. DEMLR
approves the ordinance and watershed boundaries in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 143-
214.5 and North Carolina Administrative Code 15A NCAC 02B .0100, .0200, .0620-.0624.
