Paul, The areas you have circled in blue drain to the west and eventually drain to the South Fork River which is west of Belmont. Also, those areas were developed a long time ago and it is very unlikely that they will ever be re-developed. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.Thanks. Mr. Hatton (Jerry), Hi. I received the approval request of the amended City of Belmont Watershed Protection map. The Water Supply Watershed Protection program normally defers to the local government map because they are generally more accurate. I have one question to confirm what I believe to be the case. As shown by the cut and paste from the NCDEQ Water Supply Watersheds map, there are a few small areas circled in blue that appear to lie within the water supply watershed protection WS IV Protected Area on the state map, but not on City of Belmont's map. Do these areas drain out of the water supply watershed protection area, even though they are located within the area? Please contact me with questions.
