Environmental Management Commission proposes
Affidavit of Publication to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the
person(s)listed below Written comments regarding
the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after
the publish date of this notice.The Director of the NC
STATE OF NC} SS Division of Water Resources(DWR)may hold a public
COUNTY OF PERSON } hearing should there be a significant degree of public
interest.Please mail comments and/or
information requests to DWR at the above address.

published in Roxboro, Person County, NC;that the Roxboro.NC 27573]has requested renewal of permit
publication,a copy of which is attached hereto,was NC0021024 for its Roxboro Wastewater Treatment
published in the said newspaper on the following dates Plant.located in Person County the draft of which will
undergo a 30-day public comment period. This
August 17,2023 permitted facility discharges treated municipal and
industrial wastewater to Marlowe Creek,a Class water
in the Roanoke River Basin.Some parameters in the
permit are water-quality limited.This discharge may
affect future wasteload allocations in this segment of
Marlowe Creek.
