Facility Summary
Hound Ears WWTP is a minor facility (flow < 1 MGD) with a design capacity and permitted wastewater
discharge of 0.140 MGD. The WWTP was constructed in July 2017 and operational in August 2017. This
is a small treatment plant with mainly seasonal residence use, primary use being between April and
October. Most residents are on private septic systems. This facility also serves the Country Club facility,
which has an on -site restaurant. The pump grease from trap on regular basis.
This facility utilizes the following treatment components:
• Aeration basins
• Clarifier
• Sludge holding tanks
