The City of Winston Salem's Stormwater Permit Program was audited June 14, 2022,by
Mr. Paul Clark,the Water Supply Watershed Coordinator for the N.C. Department of
Environmental Quality (NCDEQ). Prior to the in-person audit with Mr. Clark, the
Stormwater Division completed DEMLR's self-audit report, which included seven site
visit evaluations performed by Erosion Control and Stormwater staff. For the in-person
audit, Mr. Clark performed a six-hour review, in which he examined the City of Winston-
Salem's Pollution Prevention and Municipal Good Housekeeping Permit Program. In
addition, Mr. Paul Clark observed Mr. Jamal Clark, Stormwater Operations Supervisor,
perform a good housekeeping inspection of Winston-Salem Transit Authority (WSTA).
After evaluating the City's self-audit report and in-person inspection, Mr. Paul Clark
determined that the City of Winston-Salem's Stormwater Program is in compliance with
its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System(NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm
Sewer System(MS4) Permit.
