Inspection Summary:
Reviewed comments from IP regarding the draft permit and the list of significant changes to the permit
2. Permittee did not have any ug/L and was confused on the relevance.
7. IP says outfall L is to be removed from the permit.
8. SWO16 (Basin M) is separated from the rest of the outfalls to include methanol sampling.IP contends that the methanol
is in secondary containment and if there was an issue, the area drains wastewater treatment.
9.SW023 Basin T-long term solutions to this outfall is to 1)prove to this office that the drainage does not discharge or 2)
combine with other outfalls downstream (this will need a study to see if outfall is viable).
IP has a question regarding the non polar oil&grease for drainage areas that use >55 gallons per month on average. IP
does not want to disclose the total quantity of Monthly Oil Usage at the facility for propietary reasons and feasiblility of
collecting that data. They do not know how to define which outfalls will be tested for O/G.
