Mr. Scheller, the following information is a follow up per our conversation on July 29th, at 12:18 pm. In the month of June there were 2 major rain events and lightning storms that caused damage to our operating system. Details as follows. June 14-16 more than 3" of rainfall went through the WSWWTP system causing a considerable amount of strain on the treatment processes. June 20-23 we received another 5.2" of rainfall that pushed our flows in excess of 1.5 MGD. During the first mentioned rainfall period lightning damaged three (3) aerators completely taking one basin off line. Two of the aerators were repaired only to be damaged again during the second rain event. This again limited us to one basin with aerations. Repairs are underway for the aeration system and cleanup. Many solids from these events collected in our contact chamber further decreasing the effluent quality. At the time of this writing effluent quality is still poor and measures for repair and treatment is still ongoing. Julyl7th Huber will visit the site to inspect headworks and offer recommendations for increased operational proficiency. Mr. Scheller, thank you for your counsel in this matter.
