FILL THE BASINS USING STOCKPILED SOIL AND BRING TO FINISH GRADE IN COMPACTED LIFTS. SMOOTH THE BASIN SITES TO BLEND WITH THE SURROUNDING AREA, ENSURING THE BASIN SITES WILL NOT POND WATER, AND IMMEDIATELY PERMANENTLY STABILIZE. 2.0 Prior to beginning work, the contractor shall locate flag and protect all existing under utilities. 3.0 The Contractor's Land Surveyor shall locate and flag all property boundaries, Creek Buffers, Road R/W, new buildings, new erosion control & stormwater features, and temporary Sediment Trap. 4.0 Furnish and install all required erosion contro measures. 4.1 Temporary Construction Entrance, 4.2 Temporary Silt Fence, 4.3 Temporary Stone Check Dams 4.4 Temporary Sediment Traps 4.5 Temporary Silt Ditches 5.0 Provide Slope Stabilization in accordance with Detail 7/C-4 on all disturbed and new fill slopes. Seed and straw all lawn areas not to receive pavement. 6.0 Notify DEQ inspector for project start and close out 7.0 No land disturbing activities adjacent to riparian buffer during wet weather. Construction activities within the riparian buffer must be stabilized at the end of each work day. All material used to stabilize riparian buffer must be completely biodegradable. 8.0 Comply with all requirements of the NCDEQ—DLR Notice of Violation (NOV) dated January 28, 2022 for the subject site. EROSION CONTROL NOTES (Continued from Sheet C-1) 6.0 UTILITIES. The Contractor shall locate, flag and protect all underground utilities, above ground utilities, and property boundaries prior to beginning work. Verify all dimensions and quantities prior to ordering materials or beginning work. 7.0 DISTURBED AREA. The total disturbed area shall not exceed 2.0 acres. 8.0 SITE DESCRIPTION. The site has a mild sloping topography toward the southwest corner of the site. The remainder of the site has a very mild slope. The parcel is cleared with earth surface. 9.0 ADJACENT LAND USE. Land use in the vicinity is commercial / residential. 10.0 STORMWATER. There is no local stormwater program in the area where this site is located. 11.0 GROUND COVER. The angle for graded slopes and fills shall be no greater than the angle that can be retained by vegetative cover or other adequate erosion —control devices or structures. In any event, slopes left exposed will, within 21 calendar days of completion of any phase of grading, be planted or otherwise provided with temporary or permanent ground cover, devices, or structures sufficient to restrain erosion. 11.1 Ground cover shall be established on disturbed areas, including exposed slopes within 7 calendar day days following completion of any phase of grading. 12.0. PLAN REVISIONS. This Plan shall be revised and adjusted as necessary to prevent off site sedimentation and to prevent increased turbidity in streams and surface waters. The turbidity of surface water shall not exceed background (preconstruction) levels at any time during development. Erosion control features shall be installed prior to beginning other land disturbing activities. 12.0 SURFACE WATER BUFFER. A 30 foot undisturbed buffer zone is required around all adjacent streams, creeks and surface waters. 13.0 DITCH & CHANNEL LINING. All Grass Lined Silt Ditches shall be lined with erosion control geotextile fabric. Provide riprap lined channels where the flow velocity exceeds 5 ft/sec and/or where channel slopes over 5%. 14.0 UNSATISFACTORY MATERIAL. It appears that beneficial fill may have been placed over portions of the site. This beneficial fill may contain organic material and other unsatisfactory material. All organic and otherwise unsatisfactory material within the development footprint shall be removed and replaced with satisfactory engineered fill placed in 6—inch horizontal lifts and compacted to 98% of the materials maximum dry density. Do not built upon organic or unsatisfactory material. FOR PERMIT REVIEW ON LY.
