We are pleased to submit to you the results of our Waters of the U.S. Determination performed for the above -
referenced project. This work was conducted in accordance with S&ME Proposal Number 22350593, dated
August 15, 2022.
The subject property is depicted on the attached figures (Figure 1 — Vicinity Map; Figure 2 — United States
Geological Survey [USGS] Topographic Map; Figure 3 — Site Map) and photographs.
Site Description
The subject area contains approximately 17.36 acres, and it is comprised of Union County Parcel Identification
Numbers 06141005 — 9.676 acres and 06141018 — 7.681 acres. The subject property is generally located north of
Blythe Mill Road and west of North Broome Street (NC Highway 16) in Waxhaw, Union County, North Carolina.
The subject property is vacant woodland and fallow fields with unpaved access roads. The subject property is
located in an area characterized by a mixture of commercial and residential development. Downtown Waxhaw is
located to the south of the subject property.
Results
On August 10, 2022, S&ME Natural Resources professionals Ms. Suzanne Knudsen and Mr. Joey Lawler visited the
subject property to assess site conditions for the presence of jurisdictional waters of the U.S., including streams
and open waters. No waters of the U.S., including streams and wetlands, were identified on the subject property.
