I .No person shall initiate a land -disturbing activity before notifying the City of Greenville of the date land2T44
disturbing activity will begin.
2. Existing drainage from off -site shall not be inhibited or diverted unless shown and approved on plan.
3. No land disturbing activity beyond that required to install appropriate erosion control measure may not
proceed untilerosion controlmeasures are inspected and approved by the City.
4.If more than lucre is being disturbed then scheduling of a preconstruction conference with the erosion
control insppector is required prior to initiating land disturbance activities. For inspection please ca11252-
329-4467, (48 hour notice is required). The applicable land disturbance permit and certificote will be delivered
at this time.
5. Soil stabilization shall be achieved on any area where land- disturbance activities hove been temporary or
permanently ceased according to the following schedule:
6. Seed or otherwise provide ground cover devices or structures sufficient to retain erosion for all exposed
slopes within 14 working days of completion of any phase of grading as per NPDES Permit. Seed
specification for quality shall conform to NCDOT General Seed Specification for Seed Quality.

7. Fertilizer and Lime shall be as follows -.The following mulch (n(3me) shall be used and shall be installed
using an application rote of (Rate). Contractor shall use specifications as detailed in the COG and/ or North
Carolina Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan and Design Manual and/ or NCDOT. The following
specifications is applicable including installation, inspections schedule and maintenance:

8. Contractor sholl inspect and maintain as needed all erosion control devices
on a weekly basis and following a rain event greater than 0.5" over a 24-hr period.
Failure to keep erosion Control devices in good working order mayresult in issuance
of a stop work order or civil penalties up to $5000 per day of violation. Sediment traps
shall be cleaned out prior to a maximum depth of.
9.Stock piles shall be at least 50 feet from storm drains inlets and surface water
unless it can be shown that no alternatives are reasonable available.
IO.Concrete shall be contained and managed to avoid contact with surface waters,
wetland and buffers. Any hardened concrete residue will be disposed of, or recycled
on site, in accordance with local and state solid waste regulations. Concrete washout
shall be installed, inspected and maintenance as per COG detail.
II.Record of inspections shall be conducted as per NDPES permit and the 30 days
previous records shall remain on site and made available to agency inspectors at all
times during working hours.
12.The City Engineer reserves the rights to require additional erosion control
measures should the plan or its implementation prove to be inadequate. Erosion
Control measures shall be maintained and inspected as per detail sheets shown.
13.Please be advised of the rules which protect and maintain existing buffers along
watercourses in the Neuse and Tar/ Pamlico River basins. This rule is enforced by
the Division of Water Quality (DW) Direct any questions about the applicability of this
rule to project to Mr. Rogger Thorpe, regional Water Quality Supervisor. Washington
regional Office at 252.946.6481.
14.Acceptance and approval of this plan is conditioned upon compliance with federal
and State water quality laws, regulations, and rules. In addition, local city and county
ordinances or rules maalso apply to this land -disturbing activity. Approval by the
City does not supersedesy any other permit or approval.
