Raleigh,NC 27699-1617 DEQ!D\N IWPDES Subject: Permit Modifications for IUP 000033 and IUP 000040 Dear Mr. McGee: The City of Sanford are submitting modifications for IUP 000033 (Caterpillar Paint& Plating Operations)and IUP 000040 (Caterpillar Inc.). The modification are as follows: • IUP 000033: Pipe 02 flow limit went from a daily maximum of 0.044 MGD to a monthly average of 0.044 MGD. • IUP 000040: Pipe 01 flow limit went from a daily maximum of 0.027 MGD to a monthly average of 0.027 MGD. The pipe 02 flow limit went from a daily maxi- mum of 0.0373 MGD to a monthly average of 0.0373. Changing the flow limits to monthly averages as opposed to daily maximums more accu- rately depicts both facilities batch processing practices. Attached are copies of the modified permits and copies of their respective transmittal let- ters. The allocation table has not changed in reference to these modifications.
