Non-native species include the scarlet rosemallow and sweet flag. Species that do not typically occur in that region include quill sedge and duck potato. Please use native species that naturally occur in Iredell or surrounding counties. You can check to see if the species are native to Iredell Co. at this website: https://authl.dpr.ncparks.gov/flora/index.php Ideally, native species should also be used in landscaping. Please do not use non-native species for temporary seeding, such as lespedeza. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.
