Box 368 Conway, NC 27820 Phone (252)585-1232 Fax (252)585-1754 RECEIVED Nov 26 2018 GENTRPAL. FILES DWR SECTION Georgia-Pacific Chemicals LLC (GP) is respectfully submitting the facility's 2018 Fall Stormwater (August 2018 - January 2019) sampling data on Form SWU-246-051100, pursuant to the monitoring requirements set forth in the above noted permit. Although NPDES stormwater permit NCS000251 expired on January 31, 2016, the facility continues to discharge stormwater per the automatic authorization to discharge beyond the expiration date granted in Part II, Section B: General Condition 1, of the permit. The facility submitted all necessary forms required by the agency to renew the permit on July 30, 2015. During this monitoring period, the stormwater sample collected at SDO-001 exceeded the benchmark for Total Phosphorus. The measured Total Phosphorus value was 3.68 mg/L, whereas the Total Phosphorus benchmark value is 2 mg/L. Due to this exceedance, the facility has implemented the Tier One requirements found in Part II, Section B, of the permit. Please note that the contracted analytical laboratory allowed the hold time for the Formaldehyde sample collected at Outfall S WDBO-002 to expire. Although the formaldehyde value is still being reported in this submittal, a second Formaldehyde sample will be collected from S WDBO-002 at the next event opportunity. Results from the resampling will be provided within 30 days of receipt of the laboratory report as a supplement to this submittal. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tim Riddick at (252) 585-3819.
