High Density Project — Express Submittal
Dear Mr. Baker:
On behalf of our client, enclosed is a submittal package for Southport Concrete located in Shallotte,
NC. Our client is requesting that this application be processed with the Express Permitting Process.
The project is a high density commercial project, and runoff will sheet flow from impervious
surfaces to catch basins and then to a stormdrain collection system before being directed to an on -
site stormwater pond. The pond is sized for 85% TSS removal and as such a treatment swale at the
outlet of the pond has been provided.
An express fee of $4,350.00 is being submitted to Mr. Cameron Weaver to cover the fees. The
following presents the various components of the enclosed submittal package:
1. One original and one copy of the Stormwater Management PermitApp&ation Form.
2. One original and one copy of the Wet Detention Bade Supplement to the Stormwater
Plan.
3. Two sets of plans to include the following sheets that are relevant to the stormwater
application: Cover sheet, sheets C1 — site plan, C2 — stormwater plan/grading plan.
4. A Project Narrative, sheet 1 of 1.
5. Calculations (Sheets 1-2)

Dear Mr. Weaver:
Enclosed is the Express Permit Fee required for Southport Concrete. This submittal is for a high -
density commercial stormwater permit and an erosion control plan with 6.5 acres of disturbance. It
is my understanding that an express permit fee of $4,350 is required. The breakdown of the fee is as
follows:
High Density Stormwater Express Fee = $4,000
(High -density, treated by wet detention pond)
Erosion Control Plan = $350.00
($50.00/acre with 6.5 acres rounded to 7.0 acres)

PROJECT NARRATIVE
Southport Concrete is located in Shallotte, North Carolina on Edison Road SW, approximately 1.4
mi from the north intersection of US 17 Business and US 17 Bypass in Shallotte. The total project
area is 6.5 acres, and consists of a concrete plant and associated parking.
Stormwater runoff will be allowed to sheet flow from to impervious surfaces and collected via catch
basins. The runoff will then be routed to an onsite stormwater pond for treatment. The stormwater
pond has been designed for 85% TSS removal. The outlet of the stormwater pond will be directed
to a 50' vegetated swale for final treatment before being allowed to leave the project via an existing
ditch on the edge of the project.
