Good morning, Lauren is correct — all that is needed for this situation is the SWPPP to be updated and notification provided to the Stormwater Permitting group. This email will suffice as that notification. We will update our database to remove Outfall 002. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Hope all goes well with new position in your regional office. The SWPPP reflects the constructed site conditions. Brianna, please let us know what the new requirements are and what needs to be done. I have copied Brianna Young, the new Individual Industrial Permit Coordinator. The answer used to be that all you needed to do is update the outfall information in your facility SWPPP and associated maps. However, there have been a few updates to the Program since I moved and I think now there may be something that needs to be submitted to the Central Office as the outfalls and their locations are recorded in an internal database. Either way, Briana will be able to help you with this. Thanks! Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to Report Spam. Hi Lauren, Hope all goes well. My name is Stephen Kim, an environmental consultant to Airgas USA LLC - Mebane Facility. On behalf of Airgas Mebane, I called you at (919) 707-3648 earlier today and left a phone message and now I am following with this email. Airgas Mebane has an individual NPDES Permit (No. NCS000598) for industrial stormwater discharges from the facility (SIC 2813) and the permit became effective on October 1, 2019. Airgas Mebane was a new construction in late 2019. 1 am writing you re: Stormwater Discharge Outfall (SDO) at the site. In accordance with the design information, Airgas Mebane reported two (proposed) SDOs in the permit application submitted in June 2019: (1) 001 (the effluent pipe of the wet pond that would receive all industrial stormwater runoff flows from the site) and (2) 002 (the discharge from the perforated pipe that would collect/receive infiltrated rainwater in the largely grass area along the fence line in the south). However, during the construction, the perforated pipe along the fence line in the south was not constructed and therefore, there is not Outfall 002 at the site as reported in the permit application. There are no industrial activities in this area and the runoff from this area is generally directed into the wet pond. Thus, Airgas Mebane has only one SDO (001) which is the wet pond effluent pipe and conducts analytical and qualitative monitoring at this location in accordance with the permit requirements. The question was asked: Should the permit application be amended to reflect that there is not SDO 002 or should there be at least a letter or email of acknowledgment to revise/correct what was reported in the permit application? Because the permit was written in a way that Airgas Mebane is able to follow for compliance under the constructed conditions, I would like to think that a letter or this email notification suffices but please advise what needs to be done, if any. I would appreciate your kind response and guidance. Upon receipt of guidance, Airgas Mebane will review it and follow through. If you are no longer responsible for industrial NPDES stormwater discharges, please forward this email to a right person and let us know. Thanks. Stephen H. Kim, P.E.
