DURING CONSTRUCTION AND UPON COMPLETION OF WORK, CONTRACTOR
SHALL REMOVE ALL EVIDENCE OF WORK INCLUDING DIRT, ASPHALT, TIRE
TRACKS, ETC. AND LEAVE THE SITE IN A CLEAN AND ORDERLY CONDITION.
DURING AND UPON COMPLETION, CONTRACTOR SHALL SWEEP ASPHALT
PAVEMENT AND CONCRETE SIDEWALK, AND KEEP THE SITE IN A NEAT AND
ORDERLY CONDITION. ALL MUD AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS IS TO BE
REMOVED IMMEDIATELY FROM ROAD. CONTRACTOR MAY INSTALL
STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE TO SITE AS REQUIRED. ENTRANCE
MAY NOT IMPEDE REQUIRED TRAFFIC LANES TO REMAIN OPEN.
TREE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL TREES NEAR CONSTRUCTION
NOT IDENTIFIED TO BE REMOVED ON THE C-100 DRAWINGS. CONTRACTOR
IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING ANY TREE THAT IS DAMAGED DURING
CONSTRUCTION.
NO STOCKPILING IS PERMITTING WITHIN THE DRIPLINE OF EXISTING TREES

ANY OTHER PETROLEUM PRODUCTS, SHALL NOT BE DISCHARGED ONTO
THE GROUND OR INTO SURFACE WATERS. SPENT FLUIDS SHALL BE
CLEANED UP AND DISPOSED OF IN A MANNER SO AS NOT TO ENTER THE
WATERS, SURFACE, OR GROUND.
6. LOCATE ALL STOCKPILES AT LEAST 50 FEET AWAY FROM STORM DRAIN
INLETS AND SURFACE WATERS.
7. CONCRETE MATERIALS ONSITE, INCLUDING EXCESS CONCRETE, MUST BE
CONTROLLED AND MANAGED TO AVOID CONTACT WITH SURFACE WATERS,
WETLANDS, OR BUFFERS. NO CONCRETE OR CEMENT SLURRY SHALL BE
DISCHARGED FROM THE SITE.

ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE PROVIDED TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT
SOIL STABILIZATION WITH GROUND COVER AS SOON AS PRACTICAL AND
WITHIN 14 CALENDAR DAYS FROM THE LAST LAND -DISTURBING ACTIVITY,
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE AREAS MARKED ON THE PLANS THAT
REQUIRE SOIL STABILIZATION WITHIN 7 DAYS.
ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE CHECKED
AND REPAIRED AS NECESSARY WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ANY STORM EVENT
OF GREATER THAN .50 INCHES OF RAIN PER 24 HOUR PERIOD.

11. THE PROJECT SITE IS LOCATED WITHIN THE NEUSE RIVER BASIN.
12. EROSION CONTROL DEVICES MAY NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL AFTER
ESTABLISHMENT PERIOD (UP TO ONE YEAR AFTER PROJECT COMPLETION).
CONTRACTOR MAY CONTRACT NCSU GROUNDS FOR REMOVING SILT
FENCE AFTER ESTABLISHMENT PERIOD, AND SHALL CONTACT GROUNDS
FOR PROPOSAL.
13. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DEWATERING TRENCH AT ALL TIMES.
CONTRACTOR SHALL DISCHARGE WATER FROM THE TRENCH TO
SEDIMENT BAGS PER DETAIL C ON C-513 OR TO SEDIMENT TANKS PER THE
SPECIFICATIONS. SEDIMENT BAGS SHALL BE PLACED IN STABILIZED AND
VEGETATED AREA DOWNSTREAM OF CONSTRUCTION.
14. CONTRACTOR SHALL LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF OPEN TRENCH PER THE
PHASING DRAWINGS. OPEN TRENCH EXCAVATION SHALL NOT EXCEED 200
FT AT ANY TIME WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM EOR.
15. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL AND MAINTAIN APPROPRIATE EROSION AND
SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES TO ENSURE SEDIMENT DOES NOT LEAVE
THE SITE DURING ALL PHASES OF CONSTRUCTION. ANY SEDIMENT
DEPOSITED OUTSIDE THE PROJECT WORK AREA, INCLUDING TRACKING
OUT, SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY CLEANED UP BY SWEEPING AND/OR
REMOVING THE MATERIAL BY HAND. ACCUMULATED SEDIMENT ON HARD
SURFACES SHALL NOT BE WASHED INTO STORM DRAINS, GUTTERS OR
RECEIVING WATERS. ALL INSTALLED EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL
MEASURES SHALL BE REMOVED ONCE THE PROJECT AREA IS FULLY
STABILIZED.

16. ALL STORMWATER INLETS LOCATED IN CONNECTING, DOWN GRADIENT,
PAVED AREAS SHALL HAVE PROTECTIVE MEASURES INSTALLED TO
PREVENT A DISCHARGE OF SEDIMENT TO THE STORM SEWER SYSTEM
AND/OR UNIVERSITY OWNED STORMWATER CONTROL MEASURE (SCM)
DEVICES. IN THE EVENT THAT SEDIMENT FROM THE CONSTRUCTION SITE
IS DISCHARGED TO THE STORM SEWER SYSTEM, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE SEDIMENT AND CLEAN THE AFFECTED AREAS
TO PREVENT A DISCHARGE INTO UNIVERSITY OWNED SCMS. IN THE EVENT
THAT SEDIMENT FROM THE SITE IS DISCHARGED INTO A UNIVERSITY
OWNED SCM(S), THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE
SEDIMENT AND IMPLEMENT ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO RESTORE THE
SCM(S) TO FUNCTIONING STATUS. CERTIFICATION, FROM A LICENSED NC
PE, ATTESTING TO THE FUNCTIONING STATUS OF THE AFFECTED SCM(S)
SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
17. SHEETS C-509F AND C-51OF NOT INCLUDED IN DRAWING PACKAGE. SHEETS
INDICATE SHARED LAYDOWN AND STAGING AREA FOR ALL PACKAGES
THAT ARE A PART OF THE "NCSU ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION UPGRADE;
NCDEQ E&SC PLAN PROJECT NO: WAKE-2022-020" PROJECT. LAYDOWN
AREAS WITH PROPER EROSION CONTROL MEASURES WERE REVIEWED
AND APPROVED AS PART OF THE PACKAGE 1 DRAWING SET (SCO#
19-21163-01 F).
