The contractor shall verify the location of all exlsting utilities prior to beginning construction. Locations of exlsting utilities shown on the plan are based on the best available Information, but can only be considered approximate. 2. Town of Ossipee shall review and approve plan drawings prior to construction. Any conflicts should be reported to the project engineer Immediately for review prior to beginning construction. It shall be the owner's responsibility to obtain all required approvals, permits, and certifications from agencies governing this work prior to any construction. 3. It shall be the responsibility of the owner to obtain all applicable rights -of -way, encroachments, agreements, and easements prior to permitting. Permitting shall be the responsibility of the owner. The owner shall be responsible for the completion of testing and inspections, and shall obtain proper certification that the proposed construction was Installed in accordance with the approved plans, within the acquired easements. and according to the Town of 0551FOC standard details and specifications. 4. All underground utilltie5 are to be installed and tested prior to the placement of any base course stone, concrete, or pavement. 5. Any fill material imported into or exported from the site shall originate from or be disposed of at a properly permitted location. All structural fill material and bearing soils shall be tested and certified by the project geotechnical engineer. General Notes: I . All construction methods and materials shall conform to the NCDOT, NCDENR Erosion Control, Town of Ossipee, and Alamance County Standard Specifications t Details. It shall be the owner's responsibility to obtain the necessary permits and approvals prior to construction. 2. Boundary, existing features, and topographic information obtained from a survey prepared by Goforth Land Surveying, FLLC, Burlington, North Carolina. 3. Existing conditions are shown based on Alamance County G15 information, field surveys and best available record. Any discrepancies shall be reported to the engineer immediately. 4. Water service 15 proposed for all lots as shown on plan. New water main proposed to tie to existing G" main at Shepherd Road. 5. All proposed lots to have individual septic systems. Alamance County Health Department approvals are required and shall be the responsiblllty of the owner to obtain prior to construction. G. Exact size and location of all applicable utilities and easements to be field verified prior to construction. 7. Projects with a disturbed area greater than I acre will require an Erosion Control Permit. This project proposes to disturb greater than I acre. 8. A 5elf-in5pectlon must be made of the project after each phase and documented in writing. This self inspection will be performed in addition to the NPDES self monitoring report required by the General Permit as described above. 7. All erosion and sediment control devices shall be properly maintained during all phases of construction until the completion of all construction activities and / or contributing areas have been stabllzed. Existing measures may require adjustment or modification and additional control measures may be required in order to control erosion and/or off -site sedimentation if determined necessary by on site inspection.
