ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES WILL BE CHECKED FOR STABILITY AND OPERATION FOLLOWING EVERY RUNOFF —PRODUCING RAINFALL BUT IN NO CASE LESS THAN ONCE EVERY WEEK AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF EVERY HALF —INCH RAINFALL. 2. ALL POINTS OF CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC EGRESS WILL HAVE CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES THAT WILL BE PERIODICALLY TOP DRESSED WITH 2—INCHES OF #4 STONE TO MAINTAIN PROPER DEPTH. THEY WILL BE MAINTAINED IN A CONDITION TO PREVENT MUD OR SEDIMENT FROM LEAVING THE SITE. IMMEDIATELY REMOVE OBJECTIONABLE MATERIAL SPILLED, WASHED OR TRACKED ONTO THE CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE OR ROADWAYS. 3. ALL SEEDED AREAS WILL BE FERTILIZED, RESEEDED AS NECESSARY AND MULCHED ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS IN THE VEGETATIVE PLAN TO MAINTAIN A VIGOROUS, DENSE VEGETATIVE COVER. ALL SLOPES WILL BE STABILIZED WITHIN 21 CALENDAR DAYS. ALL OTHER AREAS WILL BE STABILIZED WITHIN 15 WORKING DAYS. 4. ALL DISTURBED AREAS NOT COVERED BY ASPHALT/PAVERS/CONCRETE WILL DISTURBED AREAS BE LEFT WITHOUT STABILIZATION FOR MORE THAN 15 CALENDAR DAYS. 5. SEDIMENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM BEHIND SEDIMENT FENCE AND COMPOST BLANKETS WHEN THEY BECOME HALF FILLED. THE SEDIMENT FENCE WILL BE REPAIRED AS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN A BARRIER. STAKES MUST BE STEEL. STAKE SPACING WILL BE 6—FEET MAXIMUM WITH THE USE OF EXTRA STRENGTH FABRIC WITHOUT WIRE BACKING. STAKES SPACING WILL BE 8—FEET MAXIMUM WHEN STANDARD STRENGTH FABRIC AND WIRE BACKING ARE USED. (CONTINUED) 6. DURING CONSTRUCTION SPOIL POND SHALL BE USED AS A SEDIMENT BASIN. FLASHBOARD RISER SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT ELEVATION 21.5 AND WATER SHALL ONLY DISCHARGE FROM SURFACE AT SUCH TIMES ELEVATION 21.5 IS EXCEEDED. EXCESS SEDIMENT MAY BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF AT AN APPROVED SITE UPON PROJECT COMPLETION. 7. SEDIMENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM HARDWARE CLOTH AND GRAVEL INLET PROTECTION, BLOCK AND GRAVEL INLET PROTECTION, ROCK DOUGHNUT INLET PROTECTION, AND ROCK PIPE INLET PROTECTION WHEN THE DESIGNED STORAGE CAPACITY HAS BEEN HALF FILLED WITH SEDIMENT. ROCK WILL BE CLEANED OR REPLACED WHEN THE SEDIMENT POOL NO LONGER DRAINS AS DESIGNED. DEBRIS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE ROCK AND HARDWARE CLOTH TO ALLOW PROPER DRAINAGE. SILT SACKS WILL BE EMPTIED ONCE A WEEK AND AFTER EVERY RAIN EVENT. SEDIMENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM AROUND WATTLES, BEAVER DAMS, DANDY SACKS, AND SOCKS ONCE A WEEK AND AFTER EVERY RAIN EVENT. 8. SEDIMENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE SEDIMENT BASIN WHEN THE DESIGN STORAGE CAPACITY HAS BEEN HALF FILLED WITH SEDIMENT. ROCK WILL BE CLEANED OR REPLACED WHEN THE SEDIMENT POOL NO LONGER DRAINS OR IF THE ROCK IS DISLODGED. BAFFLES WILL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED IF THEY COLLAPSE ,TEAR, DECOMPOSE OR BECOME INEFFECTIVE. THEY WILL BE REPLACED PROMPTLY. SEDIMENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM BAFFLES WHEN DEPOSITS REACH HALF THE HEIGHT OF THE 1st BAFFLE. FLOATING SKIMMERS WILL BE INSPECTED WEEKLY AND WILL BE KEPT CLEAN. 9. CONCRETE WASHOUT SHOULD BE INSPECTED DAILY AND AFTER HEAVY RAINS. DAMAGE SHOULD BE REPAIRED PROMPTLY. IF FILLED TO OVER 75% CAPACITY WITH RAIN WATER IT SHOULD BE VACUUMED OR ALLOWED TO EVAPORATE TO AVOID OVERFLOWS. BEFORE HEAVY RAINS THE CONTAINER'S LIQUID LEVEL SHOULD BE LOWERED OR THE CONTAINER COVERED TO AVOID AN OVERFLOW DURING RAIN. WHEN SOLIDS HAVE HARDENDED THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED AND RECYCLED. SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION: 1. PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE TO BE HELD PRIOR TO BEGINNING PROJECT. 2. TREES NOT APPROVED FOR REMOVAL SHALL BE MARKED AND REMAIN UNDISTURBED DURING PRELIMINARY EROSION CONTROL PHASE. 3. DETERMINE AND MARK LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE/ INSTALL PERIMETER SILT FENCE. 4. INSTALL GRAVEL CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE. 5. BEGIN CLEARING, GRUBBING, AND GRADING. 6. AS SLOPES ARE FORMED, INSTALL SLOPE STABILIZATION. 7. INSPECT AND MAINTAIN ALL EROSION CONTROL DEVICES ONCE PER WEEK AND AFTER EACH SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL EVENT (0.5" OR GREATER). 8. PLACE TEMPORARY/ AND PERMANENT SEEDING IN ACCORDANCE WITH STABILIZATION TIMEFRAMES. 9. PERMANENT GRASS SHALL BE INSTALLED FOR ALL AREAS AT FINAL GRADE AND IN SEASON. FERTILIZE, WATER AND RESEED AS REQUIRED TO ESTABLISH A VIGOROUS STAND OF GRASS. 10. AFTER COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION AND THE SITE IS STABILIZED, REMOVE ALL ACCUMULATED SEDIMENT FROM TRAPPING DEVICES AND SPREAD EVENLY ACROSS THE SITE. GRASS THESE AREAS IMMEDIATELY AND REMOVE ALL TEMPORARY TRAPPING DEVICES, INCLUDING REMOVAL OF FAIRCLOTH SKIMMER AND REPLACEMENT WITH APPROPRIATE PVC DRAWDOWN ORIFICE.
