I am not sure where this permit is on the renewal schedule, but she can take a look. We are behind on several but working as best we can through our backlog. This facility has had a permit quite a while — where has the facility been sampling in the past? Any outfalls without industrial activity drainage are outside the scope of the permit (so SDO-001 may not be subject to sampling). If there is a question about potential discharges from the others and best sampling points, it may be best to discuss with a regional office inspector who can visit the site in person. Good Afternoon Bethany, An observation was made by our new Global Environmental Manager, as we toured our site as to the location of our outfalls and interpretation of stormwater regulations. They pointed out that the current locations listed on our permit and in our SPCC/SWPPP plans are not true outfalls as they are not points where storm water leaves our property or the point where it combines with an "identified" waterway of North Carolina. I'm attaching a Site plan with a couple notations, to show you what I am talking about. Outfall 1— Non -industrial — ditch at front of property Outfalls 2 — 6 Industrial —water flows into surrounding 15 acres in back of facility There is a small channel or ditch at the rear edge of the property that is dry the majority of the year and only has water in it in the Fall/Winter/Spring seasons. So to sum up my question to your department, where do I sample, if I have to at all?
