STAGE 1 CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
1. OBTAIN GRADING/EROSION CONTROL PERMIT AND PLAN APPROVAL FROM THE
FORSYTH COUNTY INSPECTIONS DIVISION.
2. CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO FILL OUT AND SUBMIT AN ELECTRONIC NOTICE
OF INTENT (e-NOI) FORM. ALL CONTRUCTION ACTIVITIES ARE REQUIRED TO
FOLLOW THE NEW NCGO1 PERMIT.
3. CONTACT EROSION CONTROL INSPECTOR TO ESTABLISH A MANDATORY
PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE AND AN INSPECTION SCHEDULE.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT SELF -INSPECTIONS OF THE EROSION AND
SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES AND COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING COMBINED
SELF -INSPECTION FORM FOUND ON THE DEMLR WEBSITE;
(http://deq. nc.gov/about/divisions/energy-mineral-land-resources/erosion-sediment-control/forms)
COMPLETE INSPECTIONS FORMS SHALL BE KEPT ON -SITE AND AVAILABLE FOR
INSPECTION AT ALL TIMES. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A COPY BE KEPT IN A
PERMITS BOX. SELF -INSPECTIONS FOR STABILITY AND FUNCTION OF EROSION
AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL MEASURES ARE TO BE PERFORMED AT LEAST
ONCE EVERY SEVEN CALENDAR DAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF EACH
RAINFALL EVENT OF GREATER THAN 0.5 INCH. ANY NEEDED REPAIRS SHALL BE
MADE IMMEDIATELY TO MAINTAIN MEASURES AS DESIGNED. ALL EROSION AND
SEDIMENTATION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE MAINTAINED AS SPECIFIED IN
THE CONSTRUCTION DETAILS ON THIS PLAN. A RAIN GAUGE SHALL BE
INSTALLED AT THE PROJECT SITE FOR MONITORING.
5. A COPY OF THE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PERMIT, A HARD COPY OF
THE PLAN, AND ALL SELF -INSPECTION RECORDS MUST BE KEPT ON -SITE,
PREFERABLY IN A PERMITS BOX, AND ACCESSIBLE AT ALL TIMES FOR
INSPECTION.
6. INSTALL THE CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE AND SEDIMENT FENCE ALONG EDGE.
7. BEGIN CLEARING AND GRUBBING JUST ENOUGH TO ALLOW FOR INSTALLATION
OF THE SEDIMENT SKIMMER BASINS AND SEDIMENT FENCE. STOCKPILE
TOPSOIL ON -SITE WITHIN AREAS PROTECTED BY EROSION CONTROL
MEASURES FOR LATER DISTRIBUTION.
8. THE SEDIMENT SKIMMER BASINS CAN NOW BE INSTALLED BEGINNING WITH
THE REAR DAM ALONG WITH CORRESPONDING COMPONENTS.
9. ONCE THE DAM FOR THE SEDIMENT SKIMMER BASINS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED,
THEN SEDIMENT FENCE SHOULD BE INSTALLED AT THE TOE OF SLOPE WITH
THE OCCASIONAL SECTION OF SEDIMENT FENCE WITH STONE STABILIZATION.
10.ONCE THE SEDIMENT SKIMMER BASINS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED AS SHOWN
ABOVE, THEN CONSTRUCTION OF DIVERSION DITCHES AND BERMS CAN BEGIN.
11.INSTALL TEMPORARY SLOPE DRAINS INTO SEDIMENT SKIMMER BASINS AS
SHOWN.
12. BEGIN DEMOLITION OPERATIONS AS SHOWN ON SHEET C1.1
13. SEED EMBANKMENTS AND DISTURBED AREA OF BASINS, DITCHES, AND BERMS
UPON COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION. PERMANENT GROUNDCOVER SHALL
BE ESTABLISHED IN 15 WORKING DAYS OR 90 CALENDAR DAYS, WHICHEVER IS
SHORTER. HOWEVER, NPDES GROUNDCOVER REQUIREMENTS TAKE
PRECEDENCE.
14.TEMPORARY SEDIMENT BASINS TO REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL THE SITE DRAINING
TO THESE BASINS HAS BEEN SUFFICIENTLY STABILIZED.
