Public Comment Period for Draft Stormwater Permit Renewal: Duke
Energy Carolinas, LLC, 235 Plant Allen Road, Belmont, NC
The Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DEMLR) invites public comment on, or objections to, the
following NPDES Stormwater Individual Permit to be revised and re -issued. Persons wishing to comment on or
object to the draft permit may submit comments to Brianna Young (Attn: DEMLR Stormwater Program) during
the public comment period.
All comments received through January 31, 2022, will be considered in the final determinations regarding
permit issuance and permit provisions. Public comments may result in changes to the proposed permitting
actions.
The following facility has applied for renewal of their NPDES permit to discharge stormwater from their
Location in Gaston County:
• Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC, 235 Plant Allen Road, Belmont, NC. The Facility discharges to the Catawba
River, a class WS-V B waterbody in the Catawba River Basin
