This is a reminder that permit renewal applications are due 180 days prior to expiration. We do not have a record of receiving a renewal application. It appears that this property has been sold. Stormwater permits do not automatically transfer with the sale of property. It is your responsibility to submit transfer of ownership applications to this Division when property is sold. Please submit a completed permit renewal application along with a $505.00 fee for permit renewal as well as a transfer of ownership application. Permit application forms for renewal can be found on our website at: https://deq.nc.gov/about/divisions/energy-mineral-and-land- resources/stormwater/stormwater-program/post-construction-2. The site is currently occupied by a single family residence and several buildings utilized by a mini -storage complex. It is zoned General Business (GB) and is within the Highway Commercial Overlay Zone. Public water and sewer are available at the site frontage. Development will include the demolition of several existing buildings, trees and a gravel driveway and construction of one (1) building, a new asphalt parking lot, one storm water wet detention basin, an underground piped drainage system, required utilities, and the installation of required landscaping. The proposed building will contribute 8,000,,sf of impervious area. The asphalt parking and driveways will contribute 14,436✓ sf of impervious area. There will also be 1,549,.�sf of concrete in the sidewalk, a transformer pad, a dumpster pad, and two other concrete slabs at rear entrances. Drainage Area 1 encompasses 0.91 acres of the site including all proposed on -site impervious areas. Three drop inlets provide drainage inflow points for impervious area runoff from the building and drive aisles. This flow is then routed via underground pipes which then outflow into the proposed detention pond which is designed for 90% TSS removal. The maximum onsite impervious area will be 23,985 sf or 60.75°76 of the drainage area. V� ✓ Drainage Area 2 contains the remainder of the 1.03 acre site as well at the area in the NCDOT right -of, -way between the site and the existing edge of pavement. No on -site impervious area will be located in this drainage area. The off -site portion of the driveway (656 sf) will drain into the existing roadside curb and gutter system. Open space areas around the perimeter of the site will sheet flow into the existing perimeter ditches and swales. The soil evaluation was performed on August 28, 200� Sean C. Robey, PE and Kimberly Hamby. The soil boring was conducted with an AMS 2-3 4 diameter b' long hand mud auger. The boring was performed in the southwest corner of the property where the detention pond will be located. The USDA-NRCS WEB Soil Survey indicates Urban Land as well as Perquimans soils. The elevation at the boring location is approximately 7.5'. After only 34" of topsoil, the soil became a very dry, clayey, silty loam. From 18-30" was a stiffer, modeled clay loam. At 30" (elevation 5.0) the stiff, clayey soil became much lighter in color and moisture was evident. At 36", the soil color returned and the soil became sandy. At 48" there was a thin layer of coarse sandy clay with bright color that changed to wet, coarse sand by 54". While performing the boring, it was noted that several inches of water was standing in the adjacent ditch where the ditch invert is approximately4.75'. Based on the boring results and on -site observation, we have determined that there is a perched water table located approximately at elevation 5.0' and the seasonal high water table is approximately elevation 3.0'. The permanen poo elevation —has been set at 3.5'. This elevation will allow the outfall ditch to be graded to allow positive drainage away from the site.
