Nikole,
Use this email for the e-NOI submittal. That's one of the flaws in our system. Whatever disturbed area is put in the initial
application is what is spit out on the approval email. Apologize for any inconvenience or delay. I have updated the
disturbed area in our permit system also.

Hello Jones Estates Three R, LLC.,
Thank you for submitting your project to City of Winston-Salem. Review of the plans for this project have been
completed. The design is adequate to meet the ordinance standards and the plans have been approved.
If you have not already done so, please provide an original signed and notarized Financial Responsibility/Ownership
form. This document is required prior to the issuance of the Grading/Erosion Control Permit. If this has already been
provided, then please disregard this statement.
If this project will disturb more than 1 acre or is part of a larger common plan of development, the Grading/Erosion
Control Permit cannot be issued until documentation is provided that coverage under the NCGO1 Construction
Stormwater Permit (NPDES) has been obtained. Please obtain coverage under the permit at the following website
(https://edocs.deg.nc.gov/Forms/NCGOl-NOI). Once coverage is obtained please upload a copy to the project
documents in the electronic plan review system. The Grading/Erosion Control Permit will not be issued until proof of
coverage under NCGO1 is provided.
As outlined in the Unified Development Ordinances (UDO) of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, Village of Clemmons,
Town of Lewisville, and Town of Walkertown, Erosion Control Division staff may periodically inspect sites of land
disturbing activity to determine compliance with the Erosion Control ordinances and the approved Erosion Control
Plan. No person shall willfully resist, delay, or obstruct an authorized representative, employee, or agent of the
Erosion Control Division while that person is inspecting or attempting to inspect a land disturbing activity under the
ordinance.
Should you have any questions as you move forward please feel free to contact our offices. We will be happy to assist
you.

Matthew,
The state is rejecting the NOI for this project because the approval email from your review of the project that I used for the
NCG01 Application shows a disturbed area of 6.53 AC while our plans and FRO are showing 7.49 AC. I have a feeling the
6.53 may possibly be a carryover from the original design that we did with the roadside ditches. I'm sure they paid the fee
for the 7.49 AC. If you could please review and reissue so that we can get this project closed out we would greatly
appreciate it. I have attached the email generated by the IDT system for your reference.
Please let me know if there is anything else you need. Sorry for any confusion!
Sincerely,
Nikole L. Kennerly, PE

Good morning,
For verifying disturbed acreage we use the E&SC documentation. Your erosion control permit from Winston-Salem says
6.53 acres. If this is incorrect, you will need to have them correct it and resubmit it with a new e-NOL

Brooklyn,
Good morning, I need some help with getting the NOI accepted. This is the 2nd time submitting with NCDENR saying the
disturbed acreage does not match. My engineer is confirming with me the disturbed acreage is 7.49 acres and is shown on
all the documents. What are you viewing that tells you the it doesn't match?
Below is the screen shot from my CD's, attached is the FRO (I believe the same one submitted with the NOI by my engineer)
and the NOI that was submitted yesterday.
Please help. Thank you
