Dear Mr. Thompson;
I appreciate the plans you sent me, but they are not the right ones.
Back in June, 1998, we issued a permit for Basins A-0. In July, 2000,
Larry Z. sent in a modification to close Basins D, E, F, and G, and to
resize Basins A, B, C and D to take in the runoff from the closed
basins. The resized basins are called AA, BB, CC and DD. The summary
table in the upper left corner of sheet CS-5 still needs to be revised
to reflect this change. It still lists Basins A-0.
Please submit 2 sets of the correctly revised plans, including sheets CS
-3 (dimensions) and CS-5. Thank you.

I sent you an email September 22, 2000, regarding additional information
we needed to accept the modified plans for the Hammocks Beach State Park
Visitor Center. I need to have the revised Summary of Storage
Requirements table added to the plan.
If the revised plans aren't received within 30 days, i.e., April 29,
2001, the project will be returned, and you'll have to start all over
again with a modification.

Site construction is underway at the Visitor Center in Onslow County. We have determined
that one section of parking lot would be best redesigned to conform to topographic field
conditions and to preserve existing trees. The proposed revision is limited to one section of the
upper parking lot and does not involve any change in impervious coverage. We are simply
redirecting stormwater from one side of the parking lot to the other. The attached plans depict
the proposed revision, which include modifications to the drainage areas D, E & F.
This modification would improve the project without impacting the stormwater management
approach to the project. We believe that the changes are minimal and request that you
review the changes and issue an administrative approval so that construction can continue.
We are at a critical juncture in the site development.
Please contact me should you have any questions or require any clarification regarding the
plan. Your immediate attention to this request would be greatly appreciated.

Project Location: Onslow County. Bear Island, west of Bogue Inlet and Bogue Banks,
southwest of the mouth of Queen's Creek, and modifications to the
associated mainland facilities east of Queen's Creek at the end of SR
1511.
Proposed Project: Proposes to modify the application currently in circulation for the
Hammock's Beach Mainland Facility. Included is the removal of the
bulkhead and breakwater, and alterations to the docking facility.
Additionally, the proposal requests the renovation of the park facilities
located on Bear Island. These facilities include a bathhouse, picnic
shelters, boardwalks, and gazebo.
