The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources
(DEMLR) has reviewed and approved the amendments to the Town of Green Level's Zoning
Ordinance received by our office on April 14, 2015. The amendments were submitted on behalf of
the Town in compliance with the Water Supply Watershed Protection Rules. Specifically, the
amendments were adopted to allow development to be permitted under the high -density option.
The amendments were adopted by the Town of Green Level on April 9, 2015. DEMLR approved
the ordinance changes in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 143-214.5 and North
Carolina Administrative Code 15A NCAC 2B .0100 and .0200.
We appreciate Green Level's efforts to help protect the vital public water supplies of this state.
