Howard's corner; thence with Mrs. C.O. Howard's line North 80 degrees 30 minutes West 284 feet to an iron stake, a new corner on said line; thence a new line North 22 degrees 45 minutes East 1,175 feet to an iron stake a new corner on Mrs. Mary Matthews' line; thence with said Matthews' line South 45 degrees 30 minutes East 300 feet to the beginning and containing 6.93 acres. Surveyed June 4, 1962 by Ralph W. Elliott, R.L.S. Being in all respects that same property conveyed to Christopher K. Hood and wife, Ruth P. Howard, and runs thence with the property of Mrs. C.O. Howard, North 78 degrees 40 minutes West 356.0 feet to an iron; thence with the Hemby property line, North 24 degrees 07 minutes East 1,328.0 feet to an iron in the Old Mill Road; thence 12.5 feet to the center of the Old Mill Road, the point and place of BEGINNING, and containing 10.06 acres according to plat and survey of William J. Alexander of October, 1969. BEING in all respects the same property deeded to Christopher K. Hood and wife, Ruth P. Hood, by deed dated December, 1969, recorded in Book 230, Page 7 in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Union County, North Carolina.
