In accordance with the requirements of the Industrial Stormwater Permit NCS000546, please
accept this letter as written notification that Allen Steam Station is in Tier 3 status at outfall
SW020 for Zinc.
Storm water samples for SW020 that exceed the Zn benchmark were collected on
6/15/16, 7/21/16, 9/1/16, and 12/14/20. The latest Stormwater analytical results were received
12/29/20.
We are currently evaluating Best Management Practices (BMPs) to mitigate benchmark
exceedances.
