We have noted "preliminary site investigation by owner's consultant shows no wetlands on site. Consultant to verify with USACOE prior to construction." 2. A delineation of the proposed 4.11 acre drainage basin has been provided. Off site runoff has been routed around the proposed pond. 3. a baffle has been added within the main pool and off set spillway within the forebay wall to provide a 3:1 L: W flow path. 4. Vicinity map has been revised to provide location from two major roads. 5. The existing ditch invert at our pipe outlet is +12.0. We have revised our outlet pipe to be well above this. 6. Ross, Jr., Secretary North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources Alan W. Klimek, R.E., Director Division of Water Quality Wilmington Regional Office Mr. Jon T. Vincent, Member Manager Bradley Point, LLC- 5315 S. College Road Wilmington, NC 28412 Subject: Dear Mr. Vincent: November 1, 2002 REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Stormwater Project No. SW8 020819 Dollar General Castle Hayne New Hanover County -' - . The Wilmington Regional Office received a Stormwater Management Permit Application for Dollar General Castle Hayne on August 20, 2002. A preliminary review of that information has determined that the application is not complete. The following information is needed to continue the stormwater review: 1. Please either delineate all wetlands on site, disturbed or undisturbed, or note on the plans that none exist. 2. Please delineate the 4.11 acre drainage area. Based on the existing and proposed contours from the residential tract to the west, and from the existing Bullock Tract, it appears that more than 4.11 acres of drainage area will drain to this pond, and more than 124,343 ft2 of built -upon area will ultimately drain to this pond. You must show how the runoff from these areas will bypass the pond. If this additional drainage area is not diverted, the surface area provided will be deficient. 3. Please provide a 3:1 L:W flow path ratio in the pond. The proposed pond provides slightly over a 2:1 ratio. There is plenty of room to provide this ratio. 4. Please add the nearest intersection of two major roads to the vicinity map. A major road is any 1, 2 or 3 digit NC, US or interstate highway. 5. The bottom of the outlet ditch is approximately 0.5' above the bottom of the outlet structure pipe and approximately 2' above the existing pipe under the ABC Store parking lot. This will cause the pond to not draw down to the permanent pool elevation of 13. Please either raise the permanent pool elevation above the anticipated normal flow elevation in the ditch, or excavate the ditch to provide a clear outlet to the receiving stream. 6. Please provide dimensions for each line and arc of the figure created by the permanent pool contour. NCDENR N.C.
