Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte have implemented a computer enhanced 911 Emergency system. This
System relies on the use of street addresses to dispatch emergency vehicles: i.e. fire, police, ambulance, etc. To be a part
of this system and utilize the services it provides, it is vital that you display your correct street address.
The Mecklenburg County Geospatial Information Services Agency is responsible for administering the Street Address
Ordinance (Copy enclosed). We have reviewed the addresses on the street where your property is located and have made
the following changes that are necessary to reflect your correct street address.
Existing address numbers at this location are not within the range assigned to INTERNATIONAL DRIVE.

and appropriate utility companies. USPS will be notified and no change of address form is needed. If you have an alarm
system that is required to be registered, please notify your individual alarm company as well as Charlotte Alarm
Management Services at P O Box 1500, Waldorf, MD 20604 of this address change within 30 days. If you have leased
the property, please give the tenant the new address.
