I hope this email finds you well! I am taking over the industrial stormwater permit coordinator role from Ms. Lauren
Garcia, who was previously working with you on your new NPDES Individual Industrial Stormwater Permit (permit no.
NCS000570). I apologize for the delay in processing this permit, as we have had a lot of turnover and COVID-related
personnel issues.
I'm writing to let you know that this permit is going out to public notice this week, a process where a draft copy of the
permit is posted on our website for 30 days so that the public can comment on the draft permit if they so choose. Once
your permit is posted on the website, it will be available here: https://deg.nc.gov/about/divisions/energy-mineral-and-
land-resources/stormwater/stormwater-program/stormwater-public. This draft permit was reformatted on our new
permit template, so it may look slightly different from any draft copies that you reviewed previously.
Your permit is tentatively scheduled to become effective on January 1, 2021. That date may change if we receive
comments that lead to changes to the permit. I will keep you informed on this process.
