Significant changes in industrial activities at Cargill, INC. Wilson, NC 1. Outside pork fat tank has been removed and will be replaced by anew tank of the same size. The replacement was due to age and concern of tank integrity. 2. The inside pork fat tank will be removed and not replaced as this tank poses a risk if it was to rupture and contents spilled into plant sub -basement and possibly be pumped out by sump pumps. This will be completed early Jan 2014. 3. Plant has removed corn oil from outside tank 3 and replaced it with soy oil in Aug 2011. 4. Plant has installed liquid sonar indicators on all liquid tanks to facilitate taking daily tanks measurements. Previously you had to climb ladder on tanks which was a safety risk and only conducted once a week. With the new system we take daily inventories to ensure no spill or overuse has occurred. This would conclude any significant changes at this location.
